Pull-Tab Easel Card |
|
T his Fun-Fold card pops up in an unusual way! The surprise will make someone's day!
Measurements:
Card Front panel (Garden Green): 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"
Card Back panel (Basic White): 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"
Pull- Tab Panel (Basic White): 3" x 4 3/4"
Instructions:
Place the Card Front panel and the Card Back panel together and cut a half-circle out of one of the 4 1/4" sides to create a "pull tab" area.
Place the Card Front panel in the paper trimmer with the 4 1/4" side to the top at 3 1/2". Cut down, making a slit from 3/4" mark to the 4 3/4" mark. (*Tip: Use measurement markings along the cutting guide).
Turn the card 180 degrees and repeat on the other side.
You will now have two parallel slits on the card front.
Turn the Card Front to landscape position with the top of the panel to the left and place the 5 1/2" side at 4 3/4". Cut from the bottom of one slit to the other.
This will create a flap in the middle of your Card Front.
Place the Card Front on the trimmer in landscape position with the open end of the flap to the left at 1 1/4" and score from one cut to the other, across the flap.
Score again in the same way at 3" and then 4 3/4", creating a total of 3 score lines across the flap.
Burnish folds at the score lines in an accordion pattern to create the sliding mechanism.
The small panel (scored at 1 1/4") will be valley fold, the middle score line (at 3") will be mountain fold, and the top score line (at 4 3/4") will be valley fold.
Turn the Card Front over and add Tear and Tape to the back of the small panel (scored at 1 1/4").
Remove paper backing from the Tear and Tape and attach the Pull Tab Panel to the back of the flap, centering it over the flap and lining up the bottom edge of the panel with the bottom edge of the flap.
Add Tear and Tape to the two long sides and the bottom of the card front along the outer edges.
Adhere the Card Back panel to the Card Front panel, sandwiching the Pull Tab panel in between.
Adhere focal point and sentiment to the Card Front by attaching ONLY to the middle panel of the flap mechanism.
Stamp sentiment / images on the empty panels that are revealed when the Pull Tab panel is pulled out.
